AUGUST 1 + 2 / ATLANTA SYMPHONY HALL
WHERE EMPATHY MEETS ACTION.
WHERE COMMERCE MEETS CAUSE.
WHERE ACTIVISM MEETS ART.
WHERE START-UPS DO GOOD.
Some experiences instantly affect the direction you’re headed. A person articulates the wisdom you needed to hear. A place makes you see the world from a new perspective. A problem becomes personal. These moments in life shape who we are and where we are going. They interrupt our plans and shift our ideas of what’s possible.
What could it look like to let those disruptive moments fuel our work for positive social change?
True change and lasting goodwill are established when courage triumphs over competition, when love for humanity outweighs love for self, and when bold and brave leaders cast disruptive vision for what is possible in changing times.
Turning points - disruptive moments - gift us empathy and instigate our action.
For those of us who deeply value efficiency, productivity and profit –the work is to prioritize compassion. For those of us who value presence, connection and unrelenting empathy –the work is to move beyond feelings to decisive action.
Anything worth doing requires collaboration and change. As a community of start-ups doing good, let’s hold empathy in tension with action in ways that reimagine and remake the world.
Will you join us?
AUGUST 1 + 2 / ATLANTA SYMPHONY HALL
“Plywood Presents is the most inspiring conference I have ever attended. It is a collection of some of the most innovative thinkers in the country all coming together to join in a unified journey to make the world a better place.”
Up & Up Weddings
“Plywood Presents is THE gathering for entrepreneurs, activists, change-makers, and culture-shapers. It serves as the hub of inspiration for social innovation. If you are looking to meet people with a passion for solving problems, and doing it together, do not miss Plywood Presents.”
See Spark Go
“I attend Plywood Presents every year because it renews my faith in our society. There are so many good things happening in the world, but it rarely makes the news. I love hearing personal stories of challenges, failures, and, ultimately, success! It’s so inspiring! Another great benefit is finding so many companies that I can support with the money I spend, while helping them do the good in the world.”
“Plywood presents was the single most inspirational event of the year. I left filled with energy and hustle and a head full of ideas about how I can contribute to my community.”
